I'm beginning to realize that having nothing to do isn't as great as I had thought it was when I had so much to do. I'm trying to keep busy--but I'm almost completely packed for my trip, and I still have another week and a half before I move to Rosslyn, and another week after that before I leave. So much time, so little to do.
My dad is selling my car. After almost 18 years with the family, the "little car that could" is posted in the paper and on craigslist. It's sad to see it go, since I learned to drive in it, and it's always been there for me, but it's not worth storing it until I come back.
Anyways, my pre-departure "staging" event for the Peace Corps is in DC, so I'll be moving into a hotel downtown on July 6th, then leaving for Dulles on the 8th. I should be in Amman on the 9th, by way of Germany (and a nice 7 hour layover). I just asked my program director for my mailing address, so I'll post that soon (especially for JiYoung, who has promised packages).
Until I leave, I have very little planned, so if anyone is in DC or traveling to the area, feel free to call. I would like to say congrats to Elizabeth Hicks and her fiancee--they are getting married on Sunday in Fredericksburg (I'll be there!), congrats to the Pistons for forcing the Spurs to a game 7, and good luck to Kurt who heads off to Korea tomorrow for a year to teach English.
