Jidee
My mom's dad, so my host grandfather, who we call Jidee. (Arabic for "my grandpa") We call my father's father "Hajji," which translates to one who has made pilgrimage to Mecca, but is used a generic name for any old man.
In an effort to keep in touch with those state-side, this blog will chronicle my experiences in Jordan over the next few years. The contents of this website are mine personally and do not reflect any position of the US government or the Peace Corps.
