Site Visit, etc

First of all, I'd just like to give a shoutout to my sister--Tracy, I wish I was partying with you right now. I love you and I miss you and please call me as soon as you get back to the states.

Second of all, I just got back from Safi! It was really really really really really really hot!! But awesome. It's very interesting there, because the entire town's ethnicity is very different from the rest of Jordan. Everyone has very dark skin, which really made me feel right at home and made me miss DC a whole lot. It's hot! But I love it. I have 7 supermarkets, lots of clothing stores, an internet cafe, police station, health center, felafel, lots of farms with really awesome fresh fruits and veggies, mountains on one side and the Dead Sea on the other. My apartment is fabulous. I have four rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, AND an awesome little balcony that overlooks the town, the Dead Sea in the distance, and Israel. Very close to Israel.

The center where I'll be working is amazing, too. The girls are all very sweet, inquisitive, and enthusaistic. They have more ideas than I do. I also have some amazing athletes at the center...some of the best long distance runners in the country! Anyways, I'm very excited to move there. Not so excited to go back to Deir Abi Said. Why isn't training OVER ALREADY?!!

Oh, yeah, and there was a rocket attack in Aqaba. No big deal. One Jordanian soldier killed. We were told it's gonna take a lot more than that to get us sent home, thank God. I don't want to leave, and I really hope we don't have to.

I don't know if I would say "Oh, yeah, and there was a rocket attack in Aqaba. No big deal. One Jordanian soldier killed." on a Peace Corps blog that is totally open to the public.

Just my opinion.

P.S. I love your blog - especialy the photos.

Best Regards,

An RPCV

I’ve been researching the subject immune system and found your site to be resourceful. Although it may not be supporting my Site Visit, etc project, it certainly does provide a fine service and got my attention while I was searching for immune system related information. With a fine site like this one and belonging to Hilary, I’m sure you’ll achieve your goals. Thanks for reading this.
