Quick update

Doing great, nothing that new. Went to the US Embassy yesterday, had a blast!! Met some cool State Dept people, had a great time with my fellow J9s in Amman.

Actually I'm getting kicked offline so this is going to be really quick. The weather is finally cooling off. Still in the 90s, but at night the breezes are actually cold, and i started wearing my fleece. Language is going really really well. Arabic is so tough, but so fun! Some of the weird sounds I can make now are so amazing. Good times.

Sounds like the Katrina situation is just an absolute mess. So sad.

Leaving the host family in only 4.5 days!!! I know, I should be sad, but I'm too excited to get to my site, my own house, some peace and quiet. I can't tell you how many times I've been woken up by a screaming three year old. However, this whole host fam experience is really teaching me to love kids, how to play with them depending on their age, and really just enjoy their presence, which I think I lost in college.

Back at the hotel on Tuesday, expect an update then. Cheers.
